Just a few of our success stories!

After 4 years in the Navy I got out in 1985 weighing 185lbs. I started my business as a general contractor and got married in 1990 at a weight of about 190. Since then, I have not been able to keep my weight under 200lbs. For the last 24 years, I have been fluctuating between 210lbs and 240lbs, with a cholesterol level in the 260 area (not good).
What I saw was my body turning into my dad and his brothers at 250+ high cholesterol and heart attack.
Last year I made a conscious decision that I was going to lose weight and keep it off. I contacted Mission Ready Fitness and got on the 30 day program.
I lost 18 pounds and nine and a half inches in 24 days!
My wife noticed the changes in me about halfway through and decided she wanted to try also. She didn’t lose as much weight as I did but she did lose 9 pounds and about 6 inches off her body in less than 30 days.
Since I finish the first 30 days of the program, I have actually gotten down to 199lbs and I’ve noticed a huge difference in the pain I used to have in my lower back (it is much better!). And I am running an average of seven and a half miles twice a week. That’s pretty good for a 53 year old man who used to be fat!
My goal is to hit 190lbs before the end of April.
Oh and another huge plus over the last year…I’ve gone from 260 range cholesterol level to the doctor had me at 160 last month…without any major medical changes or prescription drugs. I attribute that to the MRF program.

I had the privilege to attend Air Assault School at Ft. Campbell and also NCO Leadership Training at Ft. Knox. Those were exciting days of flying and constant training that I look back on with fond memories of serving our country.
In thinking about my military experience and subsequent civilian life, staying in shape is of utmost importance. Being able to pass the PT test while serving was important for job performance and to stay off the “fat boy” program. The days of 10 mile marches in full MOPP gear and company runs definitely kept you in top physical condition.
After working in the civilian world for 20 years I found myself 45 pounds overweight with poor eating habits. A friend introduced the program to me and it totally changed my life. Within 3 months I dropped 45 pounds and the best part is 15 years later I am still using the program and have stayed in great shape.
Whether you are currently on Active Duty or in the Reserves…or even a veteran, Mission Ready Fitness can help you with your fitness goals of mission readiness and good nutrition.
Thank you for serving our country and allowing me to share my story.
