BACKGROUND: I started my military service in March of 1997 when I joined the United States Marine Corps and began Recruit Training at MCRD San Diego. I was assigned to 3rd Battalion, Mike Company, Platoon 3081. I served for 4 1/2 years in the Corps. My last assignment was as an Electro-Optical Ordnance Repairman at Camp Lejeune, NC. I was assigned to the 2nd Force Service Support Group, 2nd Maintenance Battalion, Ordnance Maintenance Company, Fire Control Platoon.
I received my DD214 on September 4, 2001. Upon receiving my DD214, I started Air Force ROTC at Louisiana Tech University. I graduated with a BA in Spanish and was commissioned a 2Lt in 2004. I attended Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus AFB, MS, where I earned my wings in July 2005. My first assignment was with the C-17 in Charleston, SC, where I flew numerous missions into and out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Horn of Africa and many more places around the world. My next assignment was as an Instructor Pilot in the T-6 in Del Rio, TX, where I trained new officers to be Air Force pilots. I then returned to Charleston and the C-17 for a short time and I am currently serving as a T-6 Instructor in San Antonio, where I train Air Force pilots to be T-6 Instructor Pilots.
